TalentMinded (“TalentMinded”, “We” or “Our”) has drafted this Privacy Policy to ensure that you can use the TalentMinded.com website and service (the “Service”) on your own terms.
Please read this Privacy Policy to understand how we use any information we may collect from you through the Service.
Please review this Privacy Policy periodically as we may update it from time to time. Each time you use the Service or provide us with information, you are, by doing so, accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy at that time. If we materially change our practices with regard to personal information collected under a prior privacy policy, we will endeavor to notify you and give you the opportunity to opt out of changes with regard to that previously collected information. You agree that by using the Service you are expressly and affirmatively consenting to our use and disclosure of the information that you provide, and consenting to receive emails, as described below. This Privacy Policy incorporates by reference the Terms and Conditions for the Service, which apply to this privacy policy.
It is your responsibility to read and accept the terms of service and privacy policies for the Open Profile sites (as defined below) you visit. TalentMinded is not responsible for the privacy practices of other entities, including the Open Profile sites through which our Service is offered. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by TalentMinded through our Service.
Information We Collect
We receive and store information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features.
When you register for the Service, you must complete a registration form. As part of this registration form, we require select personal information (including your full name, email address, company and title/position).
To allow you to express yourself beyond just the information collected during registration, we enable you to provide additional information, such as a bio, favorite URLs, and instant messaging IDs. In addition, you may choose to include photos of yourself in your profile.
When you register for the Service, post comments on our posts or stories, share stories, answer polls or submit contributions or questions through another Open Profile, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, Yahoo! and/or OpenID (hereinafter referred to as an “Open Profile”), TalentMinded will collect certain information about you that is available through that Open Profile. Depending on your privacy settings and which Open Profile you use, such information can include your Open Profile site user ID, name, gender, address, city, state, phone number, email, birthday, Open Profile site profile image URL, homepage URL, job titles, company names, languages, interests, organizations, list of friends, job interests and current employment status.
Finally, in order to provide the best possible service and to allow us to make certain reports and recommendations internally, we collect aggregate information about the use of the Service, including information about users accessing or using the Service, such as Service login times, internet protocol addresses, downloads, browser type, browser language, referring / exit pages and URLs, other browser history, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages and the date and time and interactions with plug-ins.
Children Under The Age Of 13
TalentMinded does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
How We Use Your Information
TalentMinded personnel and authorized consultants and/or contractors may have access to your information if necessary in the normal course of TalentMinded’s business.
Information collected during registration and subsequent visits, such as your full name and other information shared through connected Open Profiles, may be displayed to other TalentMinded users via your comments and posts to the question and answer area.
We will monitor the stories you have submitted or commented on for the purpose of improving the user experience of the Service. This information may be used to suggest content to you based on previously viewed topics and content types.
TalentMinded allows for the RSS syndication of all of its public content within the Service.
The email address you provided through our newsletter subscription form enables us to send you a daily digest of news stories. This subscription is entirely opt-in by the user. (We cannot subscribe you to the newsletter as you personally must have access to the email account in order to verify the subscription.) Subscribers can opt-out of our newsletter at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link that is present on every email at the very bottom of the newsletter.
The email address that you use when contacting us with an editorial tip or via our Contribute or Contact forms will not be used for any reason but for the purposes of responding to your inquiry.
Except as set forth herein, TalentMinded will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information collected through the Service to any third party. We may, however, use certain information about you that is not personally identifiable.
We also use your name, email address and other information on our system to send you reminder emails, to send you content, to notify you of new premium content releases and existing products and services that may be of interest to you, and to solicit your feedback and input. Those emails will contain links for preference management and where appropriate, unsubscribe links should you decide you do not want to receive further emails.
We also use non-personally identifiable information and certain technical information about your computer and your access of the Service (including your internet protocol address) in order to operate, maintain and manage the Service.
TalentMinded may also disclose specific user information when we determine that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, to cooperate with or seek assistance from law enforcement or to protect the interests or safety of TalentMinded or other users of the Service. In addition, personal information we have collected may be passed on to a third party in the event of a transfer of ownership or assets or a bankruptcy of CareerBuilder. Such disclosures may be made with or without your consent, and with or without notice.
Controlling Your Personal Information
Be advised that if you send messages or post material containing personal information, that information may be collected and used by others. This may result in unsolicited messages from third parties for which TalentMinded is not responsible. You may review, update, correct or delete any personal information by changing the applicable information through your TalentMinded profile or if applicable, the Open Profile site. If you completely delete all this information, your access to some Service content may be disabled.
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect and store is reliable, accurate, complete and current. Please note, however, that we do not have control over the personal information you provide to the Open Profile site. You will need to contact them directly or log into your Open Profile site account to access or modify the personal information you provide to them.
Other Sites
The Service may contain links to other web sites and content which may be hosted by other web sites. In addition, the social networking site through which you accessed our Service or any content which frames our Service may be served by or hosted by other sites. These other sites maintain their own policies regarding cookies and the collection and use of personal information. It is up to you to review those policies yourself.
Your California Privacy Rights
California law permits its residents to request and receive information about a business’ disclosure of certain categories of personal information to other companies for their use in direct marketing.
